Control-M a été développé par New Dimension Software puis racheté par Boole & Babbage avant d’intégrer le catalogue BMC.
D’un point de vue technique, on retiendra le nombre d’OS (Mainframe & Distribués), la technologie Agentless et l’utilisation de base de données ouverte Sybase ou Oracle et MS SQL pour la partie Distribuée.

BMC est implanté dans 124 pays dont la France qui dispose d’une équipe support interne (francophone) basée à Paris-la-Défense. Control-M équipe près de 2500 clients de part le monde allant de la PME jusquà la Multinationale.
