Control-M a été développé par New Dimension Software puis racheté par Boole & Babbage avant d’intégrer le catalogue BMC.
D’un point de vue technique, on retiendra le nombre d’OS (Mainframe & Distribués), la technologie Agentless et l’utilisation de base de données ouverte Sybase ou Oracle et MS SQL pour la partie Distribuée.

Control-M équipe près de 2500 clients de part le monde allant de la PME jusquà la Multinationale.
